Colour Correction In Photoshop

I hired a thin applicant over a fat one with more experience and talent. Should I of?

I have an opening that I need to fill immediately as a digital photography color correction specialist that has website experience. The employment agency I hired could only send over two people ASAP.
The first person was very fat but a very talented Photoshop guru. She knew flash, XML and ColdFusion, had extensive work experience, and was friendly. The fat and uglyness didn’t really bother me because she was the most talented person I’ve ever met.
This week the agency sent over this handsome man in his middle 30s that my other staff members were more friendly to than the previous applicant. They wouldn’t even greet the girl until she greeted them first. This guy wasn’t the best in photoshop but he was pretty solid otherwise. He also only knows how to make a site with Microsoft Front Page.
I went ahead and told him that he would get a 30 day trial immediately after his interview. I called the girl and told her that the position was filled. I wonder if I made the right choice
